Arts-Matter is a membership platform that hosts a series of intimate programs in contemporary Sydney spaces with the creative minds shaping our shifting culture. Through a series of thoughtfully curated conversations and experiences spanning the cultural gamut - from art, music, fashion, film, theatre, dance and literature - we cultivate community, spark debate, and thrive on bridging cultural, social and gender divides.

But most importantly … we've always believed the best part about Arts-Matter is our incredible community of members, creatives, friends and family. While our programs are always about supporting the cultural arts, community is at the heart of everything we do.

Our Co-Founders

Susan and Michelle have decades of experience in the cultural space - from fashion to art, music and media the duo have worked with some of the world’s leading artists and brands. They bring their wealth of experience to Arts-Matter Studio where they’re living their best life working with artists and building a creative community.

  • For over 15 years, Michelle has shaped some of the most innovative and directional content and programming platforms - from global hospitality brands such as NeueHouse and Soho House to The New York Times’ largest consumer-facing live platform, Times Talks. Most recently, Michelle was the Global Creative Director and Curator of Absolut Art, a limited edition print platform celebrating emerging and established artists from across the globe.   • Susan is a full service independent and collaborative creative, working across a diverse range of pioneering brands in Australia, Japan, UK and USA, predominantly in the art, design, fashion and lifestyle industries. Specializing in brand identity, creative direction, graphic design and boasting an impressive roster of international clients including Absolut Art, W Hotels, Pacific Brands, Secret Sounds Music Festivals and Vogue to name a few.
